Some are events I've built myself, like my Colorpop workshops and retreats, or free photowalks and meetups just for getting together and networking. Others are expos where I'm showing up as a speaker or teaching a one-day workshop with Canon. Either way, I love events because what happens in person is hard to replicate online.

Colorpop
Colorpop is Marina's photography workshop series founded in 2021. Events have ranged from large-scale multi-day retreats to smaller, intimate one-day workshops focused on education, all centered on giving photographers the experience, imagery, and creative push they need to grow.
Past attendees have walked away with portfolio work they're genuinely proud of, lasting friendships with other creatives, and the kind of momentum that's launched some into going full-time, landing dream collaborations, and finally creating the work they've always wanted to make!

PHOTOWALKS
Photowalks and meetups are close to my heart because they're what changed the trajectory of my own career. When I moved to Utah in 2018 and knew nobody, local meetups were how I found my people, built my portfolio, and eventually went full time. I've seen firsthand what happens when photographers get in a room together, no matter where they are in their career. Collaborations form, connections are made, and people leave re-energized.
That's why I organize free photowalks and meetups with no agenda other than showing up, shooting with each other, and connecting!

EXPOS & BRAND EVENTS
Expos and brand events are where I get to meet photographers face to face, often for the first time after years of following each other online. I attend these either as a speaker or in partnership with brands as a guest educator.
Past events have included B&H BILD conference, B&H Depth of Field conference, and many events with Canon for their 'Create With Canon' one-day workshops across the USA at different local camera stores!
