What’s in my Camera Bag?
The most frequent questions I get are about what gear I use, so I thought I’d create a blog post with the breakdown of all my equipment.
In late 2022, I switched over to the Canon EOS Mirrorless system with the Canon R5 as my main camera body. Before that I was on the Mark IV and Mark III for many years. As I’m still acquiring new RF lenses, the ones I use most are ever-changing as I figure out which ones I like best! Below I’ve linked all the lenses I own, but highlighted the lenses I use most right now. I’m excited to continue to play around with new RF lenses this year, so stay tuned for any updates!

My Camera Bags
KAMRETTE: THE LYRA BACKPACK – This is my new backpack and it’s amazing, especially for travel! Not only does it fit all my camera gear, but it also fits my MacBook Pro AND iPad.
KINDLY CAMERA BAGS: THE PHOTOGRAPHER’S FANNY PACK – Kindly was kind enough to gift me this fanny which has now become my go-to on set. I set my camera bag aside and use the fanny while running around and shooting because I can use my hands easily and store things like my phone or batteries/memory cards without needing to go back to my camera bag as often.

CAMERA BODY: THE CANON R5 – I switched to the mirrorless system at the end of 2022 and I’ll yell from the rooftops for everyone else to do it too. The eye tracking and autofocus capabilities are such a step up from my Canon 5D Mark IV body that I used for years before.

PHONE HOTSHOE MOUNT – This is a mount for your phone that goes on your camera’s hotshoe. I use it for filming behind the scenes while shooting right on my camera!
PHONE TRIPOD – I use this, paired with the Moment MagSafe mount, to film behind the scenes on my phone.
PHONE MOUNT – Moment iPhone 12/13 Tripod Mount with MagSafe – I use this on top of my phone tripod to film behind the scenes while shooting. My iPhone has MagSafe, so I just stick it right on this mount and can rotate horizontally or vertically really easily. I swear by this thing!!
